Patrick Toomey has taken the reigns as General Manager of Binks Forest Golf Club. As one of the owners, Patrick is uniquely qualified to oversee all aspects of the property. His leadership will allow Binks Forest Golf Club to evolve into the premier destination for golf and catering in South Florida.

Originally from suburban Detroit, Patrick has made south Florida his home for the past 20 years, where most of his career has been spent working on the acquisition and sales of distressed debt. He also worked with the luxury golf course community developer, Medallist Developments. Medallist is a joint venture between legendary golfer Greg Norman's Great White Shark Enterprises and Macquarie Bank. Mr. Toomey was responsible for golf course and residential land acquisitions, golf course community feasibility analysis and financial modeling.

Patrick graduated from the University of Michigan with degrees in Economics and Finance and also received a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Miami. In Florida, Patrick teamed with the partners at Aquila Property Company to purchase and renovate Binks Forest Golf Club.

As Director of Operations and course Superintendant, Tim Haines oversees the daily operations of the golf course. For more than a decade, Tim has served as Superintendent for courses such as Osprey Golf Club in Virginia and Pine Forest Country Club in South Carolina.

Before joining the team at Binks Forest, Tim played a key role in the opening and ongoing operation of Gillette Ridge Golf Club in Connecticut, a nationally acclaimed, tournament-tested venue. Tim is an active member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA), and also belongs to the Mid-Atlantic, Carolinas and Connecticut GCSAA.

Throughout his career in the golf industry, Tim has provided agronomic expertise to projects involving new construction, renovation and existing golf facilities spanning the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern regions. Tim is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a degree in Agronomy.

                                                                         
Wheeler Stewart - Head Golf Professional.  Call Wheeler at (561) 578-8201

Wheeler Stewart brings impressive playing credentials and business experience to the Binks Forest team. His golf career began at the University of Alabama and continued throughout the northeast at nationally renowned clubs such as Congressional in Washington, D.C. Along the way, he won the Maryland Open and The Middle Atlantic PGA Championship . Wheeler also represented the United States on a victorious PGA Cup Team in 1986.

Throughout his career, Wheeler has demonstrated his skills both on and off the course as a player, teacher, and merchandiser. While in Maryland, he increased revenue at Oakland Golf Club by 40% during his tenure. Down the road from Binks Forest, he engineered the successful opening of Madison Green Golf Club in 2001. Before coming to Binks Forest, Wheeler was the head golf professional at Wellington Country Club. Wheeler looks forward to capitalizing on his experience in the western communities and making Binks Forest the best game in town.

Greg Schroeder brings an extensive knowledge of the South Florida golf market to Binks Forest. As the manager of a Palm Beach County golf facility and founder of a golf equipment repair company, he developed relationships with local clubs, hotels, golf professionals and top amateurs. His relationships in the golf community serve as a natural springboard for attracting members and outings to Binks Forest Golf Club.

Greg lives in West Palm Beach with his wife and three children. He has degrees in Communications and English from the University of Pennsylvania.

Susan D'Andrea - Director of Catering.  Call Susan at (561) 578-8206

Susan D’Andrea has been in the Hotel and Country Club industry for over 20 years.  Susan was part of the opening team for the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Florida where she oversaw events that included The Summit of the Americas.  Following the Biltmore, she worked as the Director of Catering for the Fisher Island Club in Miami Beach and Williams Island Club in Aventura.  There she created and executed both private events  for members as well as Club events that included private concerts with Luciano Pavarotti and Yo-Yo Ma and dinners for President Clinton and Margaret Thatcher.

She then joined Hilton Hotel Corporation where she spent the last seven years as Director of Catering and Event Services for the Hilton Center City in Charlotte, North Carolina. 

Heidi Breen - Captain

Heidi is responsible for overseeing beverage operations and is the Club's Banquet Captain when hosting banquets and special events. Heidi has an extensive background in food services, having worked for other high-end golf country clubs. Originally from Northern Michigan, Heidi has made Florida her home for the last 15 years.

Mark comes to South Florida from Brooklyn, New York. He is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Hotel and Restaurant Management. Before coming to Florida, Mark honed his culinary skills at Tavern on the Green, The Russian Tea Room, Palios, and Club 21.

Locally, Mark has serviced fine clubs such as the Boca Polo Club, Parkland, and Boca Pointe Country Club. He has a great culinary background and makes the food at Binks Forest stand out.  Since opening the Binks Forest Banquets and Catering department in January 2009 Mark has earned two awards for outstanding food presentation.
